Harley Davidson bikes to launch liquid bikes in India
The American cult bike maker Harley Davidson, best known for its touring bikes, is planning to upgrade its air cooled V-twin motorcycles with Liquid Cooled motors. In view to be updated with the changing times, the bike major has put its think tank to do the ground work. The new addition in the Harley bikes will surely give relief to its wanna-be customers and the company for it will not only reduce the cost but also will benefit the company indirectly.
Recently the company has filed a patent application in which it disclosed the design and working system of the liquid cooled engines. It is noticeable that HD is not doing it for the first time, it is using liquid cooling system in its much popular Harley Davidson VROD that has revolution motor. So all the air cooled, V-Twin HD bikes will soon get the new technology installed by its maker. However, the firm will not make several changes to its engine to keep the traditional look intact.
The American company has 6 bike family in its Indian portfolio and all are powered by air cooled engines except the Harley Davidson VROD (Harley Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special) that is priced at Rs.19,55,000. Its Harley Davidson Sportster XR 1200X is being added with Oil Cooling system, it is also available in India at Rs. 11,95,000.
