KTM Duke 200 launch in Malaysiya prior to India

Our KTM Duke 200 news thread is becoming richer and richer as we get some more information about the construction of the bike. The new update says that the Duke 200 will be powered by a liquid cooled, 4 stroke, 4 valve, DOHC, single cylinder, fuel injection engine that will be coupled with double overhead camshafts. And this engine configuration will ensure around 25-28 bhp. Other sourced information about the KTM Duke 200 reads 140kg of weight,USD front suspension, daytime running pilot lamp, rear tyre hugger and under seat storage compartment.

KTM has launched the all new KTM Duke 200 in Malaysiya prior to the launch in India in 2012. The bike will be sent as CKD unit in the country from the Bajaj Chakan plant. However, this is the mere announcement of the bike in Malasiya. Availability, price and details are still under wrap for the country.

The joint venture of Bajaj Auto and KTM has already announced to bring the 200cc KTM Duke in India; the bike will be launched here through upcoming Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi. As per estimation, the KTM Duke 200 will be priced Rs 1.5 lakh in India due to local production whereas it will cost around Rs 2.25 lakh in Malaysia.



Talking about the KTM Duke 200 specifications and features, these details are still not released in any conutry. But it is for sure that the 200cc Duke will have greater engine and output compared to KTM Duke 125.
